Selling a ticket you cannot use
Put it on Fan resale at face value or less. Fans who want the event hear first.
Actualizat sâmbătă, 3 octombrie 2026
If you cannot go, you can sell your tickets to other fans on Fan resale, at what you paid for them or less. Never more: there is no resale above face value here.
How to sell
- Log in, then press Sell under a ticket, or go to My tickets, Selling, and press Sell tickets to choose the event.
- Tick the tickets you want to sell. You can sell several from the same order at once.
- Choose a price for each: Face value (what you paid), Quick sale (10% under), or your own price. The most you can ask is what you paid, and the least is £1.
- If you are selling two or more, you can choose Sell together only, so a fan has to buy them all.
- Before you confirm, you see exactly what fans pay and what comes back to your card.
You then get a link to your listing to share.
When your tickets go on sale
Fan tickets go on sale once the organiser's own tickets of that type have sold out, so fans never undercut the organiser. If you list earlier, your listing waits and goes live the moment that type sells out. Some organisers show fan resale straight away.
When your listing goes live, people on the event's waitlist and people who saved the event are told it is there.
Managing your listing
In My tickets, Selling shows each listing and where it stands:
- Waiting for sell out: listed, but not on sale yet.
- Live: on sale now. You can change the price or take it off sale.
- Reserved: a fan is paying for it right now. If they do not finish, it goes back on sale.
- Sold: another fan bought it. The money is on its way to your card.
- Refunded to your card: the money has been sent back.
Your ticket keeps working until it sells. If you end up going, just use it: that ends the listing. A listed ticket cannot be transferred: take it off sale first.
When it sells
- The buyer gets a brand new ticket with a new QR code, for the same seat if you had one. Your ticket stops working.
- Your money goes back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days. We email you when it sells.
- The booking fee you paid is not refunded. The exact amount you get back is shown before you list.
Who can resell
Resale is on for most events, but the organiser can turn it off. It is for the person who bought and paid for the ticket by card (the money goes back to that card). It is not available for free tickets, guest list tickets, tickets that were sent to you, or after the event starts. If a ticket was sent to you, you can still send it on to a friend.
