1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser, so it can remember something between pages or visits. Websites can also keep information in your browser's own storage (called local storage). This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage Enjoy Tickets uses, on enjoytickets.co.uk and on the shops that sell through our checkout.
The law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations in the UK, and the ePrivacy rules in the EU) lets a site use what it strictly needs to work without asking. Anything else needs your consent first. We use no advertising cookies at all.
2. Cookies the site needs to work
These are set by Enjoy Tickets only, are never used for advertising, and are needed for the part of the site you are using. They do not need your consent.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|
better-auth. | Keeps you logged in. Set only when you log in or sign up. On the live site its name starts with __Secure. | 30 days, renewed as you use the site | No |
et_sid | Your checkout session: links the tickets held for you, the codes you entered, your waiting room place and your orders to this browser, so you can buy without an account. | 30 days | No |
et_consent | Remembers your cookie choice, so we do not ask again. | 1 year | No |
et_city | Remembers the city you picked in the header. Set only when you pick one. | 1 year | No |
et_wr | Your waiting room pass, after your turn comes, followed by the event number (for example et_wr42). Proves the pass is yours when you choose tickets. | Until the pass runs out: 5 to 60 minutes, 20 by default | No |
et_pv_ | Remembers that you typed the right code for a private event, followed by the event number. Set only when you do. | 1 year | No |
et-saved | Local storage: events you saved with the heart while logged out. When you log in, they move into your account and are cleared here. | Until you log in or clear your browser data | No |
3. Our own analytics and partner links
These two are set by Enjoy Tickets only, are never shared with Google or any advertiser, and are set without asking today.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|
et_vid | A random visitor id for our own analytics. It lets us count visits, see which steps of buying people reach, and which website or campaign brought a sale. It stores no IP address, and the data stays on our servers. | 1 year | No, today (see the note below) |
et_partner | Set only when you arrive through a partner’s link or buy button. Remembers which partner sent you, so they are paid their commission if you buy. The last partner link you used counts. | 30 days | No, today (see the note below) |
4. Google Analytics: only with your consent
If you choose Accept all in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, which helps us see how people use Enjoy Tickets so we can improve it. Nothing from Google is loaded, and none of these cookies are set, until you do. We ask Google to shorten IP addresses, we never send it email addresses or ticket codes, and we do not use it for advertising.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Set by Google Analytics to tell visitors apart. | 2 years | Yes |
_ga_ | Set by Google Analytics to keep the state of your visit. Its name ends with our measurement id. | 2 years | Yes |
et_ga_signup | Set by us for a few minutes when you create an account, so Google Analytics counts the sign up once. It holds only the account type. | 5 minutes | Yes |
If you choose Only essential, or change your mind later, Google Analytics is not loaded. Cookies it already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them, but they are no longer used.
5. Meta pixels: only with your consent
If you choose Accept all, we also load Meta's pixel, which measures how well ads on Facebook and Instagram work. Two kinds can run: ours, on every page, for Enjoy Tickets' own ads, and an event organiser's, only on that organiser's pages (their events, their organiser page or shop, checkout and the confirmation page), for their ads. Each one learns only about its own pages: which pages you view, when you add tickets or start checkout, and when you buy, with the amount. Nothing from Meta is loaded, and none of these cookies are set, until you accept.
When you buy after accepting, we also tell Meta about the purchase from our own server, for the same pixels: the event, the amount, your email address and name in scrambled (hashed) form, and your IP address and browser, so Meta can match the sale to an ad. We never send it your ticket codes or card details.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Set by the Meta pixel to tell browsers apart, so visits and purchases can be linked to ads. | 90 days | Yes |
_fbc | Set when you arrive from a link in a Meta ad, to record which ad it was. | 90 days | Yes |
If you choose Only essential, or change your mind later, no Meta pixel is loaded and no purchase is sent to Meta. Meta's own use of what it receives is explained in its privacy policy.
6. Only for organisers, partners and our team
These are set only for people who work on events through Enjoy Tickets, in the dashboards and the door scanner. Buyers never get them.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|
et_partner_mode | In the partner dashboard: whether it shows live sales or test sales. | 90 days | No |
et_as_organiser | Lets our staff view an organiser’s dashboard as that organiser, to help them. | 2 hours | No |
et_as_partner | Lets our staff view a partner’s dashboard as that partner, to help them. | 8 hours | No |
et-door | Browser storage on door phones (a database, a few settings such as the device name and entrance, and the scanner page itself), so the door can scan tickets with no signal. It keeps the event’s guest list with a scrambled form of each code, never the code. | Until the phone’s browser data is cleared | No |
et-admin-jump-recent | Local storage in our admin: the last few things a staff member searched for. | Until cleared | No |
7. In the app
The Enjoy Tickets app does not use cookies. It makes a random id for your device, which does the job of the checkout session cookie: it links your held tickets, codes and waiting room place to your phone. Our Privacy notice explains it. The checkout page the app opens for paying shows no cookie banner, and loads no Google Analytics.
8. Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. This opens the cookie banner again:
The same Cookie settings link is at the bottom of every page.
In your browser
You can also see and delete cookies in your browser's settings, and block them. If you block the ones the site needs, logging in, checkout and the waiting room will not work. Clearing your browser data also removes events you saved while logged out.
